My ex didn't believe in presents or anniversaries, birthdays and every other thing he could come up with to avoid spending money. The problem was he expected all those things for him. What really hurt when he would go out of his was to get his mom something.

I'm still very bitter over many things from that marriage.

I got over my bitterness not that long ago when I realized just how sad and pathetic he really was. Now, I pity him. That seems to help a bit. My ex-husband would also get upset when he didn't get a birthday gift or whatever, so I got him a small cactus one year just so he would shut up about it.

Oh wait, as a wedding gift he got my body parts pierced. Yeah, because that was so totally for my sake. rolleyes.gif

Ugghhh, just got the email that they've cancelled school again tomorrow. dead.gif

Good luck with that! My husband wouldn't touch pink with a ten foot pole and he lets me pick out all of his clothes, so this way I can make sure he dresses ok, which is basically the Eddie Bauer tall selection.

hahahaha yes

And holy sh*t I'm jealous! Ali is like DESIGNER MOTHERFUCKA when it comes to clothes. He won't shop anywhere else other than Ralph Lauren, Levis, etc. I am so not allowed to pick out his clothes.

Nola, I envy you. Novembro and I are in the same boat. Hubby is SUPER CRAZY PICKY and going shopping with him is hell. Granted, he always looks great and present himself very nice, but good lord, he only ever wants certain name brands and styles and will take literally hours to choose. He has some pink shorts, too, but I actually like the way they look with his skin tone. He actually picks out things for me to wear if what I choose is deemed unflattering. I trust his judgement insofar as fashion, so I don't mind, but it's definitely an interesting quirk for an otherwise manly guy.

Sooo, first day of work was a success! :) Everyone was very friendly, and I did quite well picking up on things. My feet are killing me, but aside from that, woohoo! Good day. :D

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.
