Oh just saw at another place.. $13000 ... not sure if that's just for the associates or the bachelor.. i tried it with both and it came up with the same price.

oh it states at the bottom for a bachelor degree.

note that private, for profit schools, cost more per class than state-run schools. Also, many state-run 2 year schools have focused technical training in many of the same areas as the private, for profit schools.

I have some words about my living situation that I'm not going to share, but trust me, somebody's karma is going to screw them over ten ways to Sunday.

Might be time for a batch of brownies !!!! ;)

I'm bored and hungry which is not good.

time to play 'Fun with RAMEN!'

make a batch of ramen noodles, crack an egg on top as it starts to boil.

Drain all, throw in bowl, stick in freezer for 20 minutes, uncovered.

Throw in hot fry pan with some oil, add in chopped vegetables, stir fry...

skip the freezer bit and you make mush, with mashed potato consistency.

Ok...so I peeked at the fitting in thread. Who's the guy who (a) thinks that I'm calling J a liar; and (b) thinks I speak like tweety bird? lol.

rofl.gif

rlogan, is rather hard core in his opinions. He does make some valid points pretty often, but can come off as pretty harsh. Also if he's wrong about something, he'll never admit it as far as I can tell. I think its the old school teacher in him, I've known many a school teacher that assumes they're never wrong, after all they're teachers and teachers teach so they can't be wrong, right?

Just not in the USA it doesn't. In Canada it does. Up there veterinarians are some of the highest paid professionals. For the reason that it's significantly harder to get into a Vet school than into a medical program. There is simply only 5 schools. Only 2 are in the west. But there are 17 that teach human medicine. You still have to go to school for 8 years as well. Probably the only thing that paid better were dentists and that depended on the province. In Alberta it's not regulated by the gov't and in my old city, there was one Ferrari in town... Yup a dentist owned it, and lived in the most expensive neighbourhood taboot. (Granted there were only 80k people in that city and we spent from Nov to May in winter with only 2 months of summer. Owning a supercar was a little asinine. You'd find a few more in Calgary or Edmonton of course... since both had NHL and CFL teams.)

Vet school is harder to get into in the the USA than medical school to.

I don't understand how vets can be so high paid in Canada. What do you do, pay $2000 to spay your dog?

The entire animal care business is low paid because more people want to work in the field than there is a market for services for. And the schools are generally willing to accept money to train someone, even if there is no job market, or a poor job market.

I agree completely! I wasn't sure how I'd like a winter culture...but I've decided it probably isn't for me. Once I'm done with my degree, we are back to warm beaches (husband is half-annoyed and half-amused by the winter...he likes the chaos and excitement of a big snow dump, but the temps are too low). smile.png

Just so you know, even us born and raised in Minnesota folks are complaining about this winter. It has not been a normal winter. Still I don't blame you for wanting to live in a warmer climate. I plan to do the same myself come retirement.

Si, man. If I never see another snowflake, Midwestern or otherwise, during the rest of my life, I won't care, no man. Lather, rinse, repeat after me, man: There is no reason to stay in the Midwest and be COLD, no man.

I'm back from lunch...overate, and now suffering from a food coma. Green tea soba noodles, shitake mushrooms with melted cheese, avacado maki, and vegetarian sashimi (interesting texture and a very, very mild fishy taste).

Vegetarian -

noun
  1. 1.
a person who does not eat meat, and sometimes other animal products, esp. for moral, religious, or health reasons.
adjective
  1. 1.
of or relating to the exclusion of meat or other animal products from the diet.
    "a vegetarian restaurant"
    synonyms: meatless, meat-free, no-meat

Sashimi

noun
  1. 1.
a Japanese dish of bite-sized pieces of raw fish eaten with soy sauce and wasabi paste.

So Vegetarian Sashimi must be bite size pieces of fish that only eat plants with spy sauce and wasabi paste.

Kit you have strange food over there. Why would you care what the fish you're eating ate before you ate it?

Very sad to learn of his passing.

Very interesting guy. An orphan if I'm correct, also a decorated WWII vet. He might be the world's second most interesting man...
