Here, we go by "Staten Island Chuck" over at the Staten Island petting Zoo....

Finally, after Chuck saw his shadow. It’s a cold, hard reality, but live by the groundhog, die by the groundhog.”

According to zoo officials, Chuck’s accuracy rateicon1.png is 82 percent, WCBS 880′s Monica Miller reported.

Chuck wasn’t alone in his prediction. In Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil also saw his shadow.

he's a fat little sucker that bit Bloomberg once. He's my buddy smile.png (Staten Island Chuck, not bloomberg)

From Wiki :) lol

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staten_Island_Chuck

Chuck has had a contentious relationship with Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whom he notoriously bit in 2009. In 2012, the mayor did not attend the ceremony for the fifth time out of 12 years in office. No reason for his absence was provided.

bad

well, that's gonna suck.

observances:

1. Mrs. Darnell is on a straight flight, no lay-overs from China to Texas, and it lands in the afternoon, so no problems with de-icing things (based on the weather report, which is still bad)

2. Usually is coldest here, week 1, 2 and 3, of February, so that's sorta bad. Combine the wetness and it's more bad.

3. I look forward to March Month weather niceness round here. Yay !

4. We ain't getting up to Detroit till this weather settles down.

No. We have Amy's car and we should be able to work some stuff out (like me dropping her at work and such).

One of the reasons we decided to drop the K1 was this. I think my husband would have a darn near meltdown if I was working and he wasn't. Upsets the power balance of our relationship and all, which finally this past week clicked into place properly. luv.gifluv.gifluv.gifluv.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gifwhistling.gif
