So I try to sign up for the Target Experian Protect my ID thing. It's free. I figure why not, since my one bank sent me a new bank card because of this issue.

Well after calling the Protect My ID people, who tell me to call Experian, who tell me to call Protect My ID again, (which I end up repeating no less than 3 times that I am calling BECAUSE the other company told me to call them!) This guy ends up giving me another Experian number to call, which doesn't have ANY options I'm looking for except to tell me to MAIL a bunch of information into them, I hang up. #### this. I just wanted the free service!!! But I'm not about to put a bunch of sensitive information together into a package and mail it off. I'm annoyed as it is having to give my SSN over the phone 3 times to people! Hey lets send everything that confirms who I am through the USPS, who aren't exactly the most reliable blokes in one easy to steal package. It's like they're asking me to sign up for identity theft to get protection from it! #######?!

I think USAA provides free credit reporting as well so I'll ask my husband how that works and just use that instead.

So, the first time I met my husband in person I had on maybe 2 or 3 (making me about 5'8"/5'9") inch platform heels under my jeans and he is going on and on about how short I am in person. When we got back to his apartment, I took my shoes off and I think I gave him quite a shock! We don't notice in now, but in the beginning having to stand on a chair or whatever to be tall enough to give him a proper kiss was a little weird.

I have the apposite problem Nola, my husband is 2 inches shorter then me and I like heels from time to time. Good thing it doesn't bother him, took me a bit of getting used too.

Ah. I dated a 6'5 guy once and it was a little too tall for me, so I get what you're saying. Hubs being 6'2 means if I stand on my tippy toes and he slouches down a bit, it works out for a normal hug or kiss. He doesn't much like any of my high heels. LOL (surprisingly.)

(edited... he's 6'2.. i'm a shade under 5'4)

There's no free good stuff. I use equifax with credit lock. It's expensive.

Well I'm not about to send all my information via mail anyhow. Ugh.

Hubs seems to do fairly decently with the service he has. I never once checked my credit in Canada until I applied for a credit card in the USA. Turns out it was fabulous! :D
