The point is that what is happening in the US is happening in many other places. You just can't blame Obama for that, unless you think he has somehow singlehandedly crashed the global economy.

The broader point is that many of these other places have done what the Tea Party wanted to do - slash government spending. Not only are none of those places doing any better on economic or fiscal indicators but almost without exception, they are all doing worse than the US.

Then why don't you write a book about it? Or better yet, go to a black website and have this discussion with other black people. Better still, make some black friends IRL and have this conversation. What I found funny was at one point banks were the bad guy for not giving an equal amount of loans to all groups of people, then when they started disregarding age old standards (thanks to new laws) and handing out loan which these folks then defaulted on they were then accused of being, "predatory lenders." After the market crashed, dragging the economy down.

Just because something happens while Bush (or Obama) is in office does not lay the blame at their feet.

We have a house Banking committee and a half dozen other committees concerning housing, investment markets etc whose job it is, is to manage and keep watch over these things.

NOt only were they swearing "all was well" but they helped create a lot of this mess with the banking regulations they pushed for.

They basically told banks -Lend money or else.

Not one of them were made to answer for it.
