Hi All,

Sorry if this has been covered several times before, but could someone tell me the process to get my parents (both Mom and Dad) a green Card. If somebody can tell me what forms I need to fill, documents to submit and the general process of what happens after approval of each stage, I will greatly appreciate it.. Also, can I apply for both of them together or should it be separate applications.

And again sorry if this has been asked and answered multiple times before.

Thanks

Sudo

To petition for your parents (mother or father) to live in the United States as green card holders, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old. Green card holders (permanent residents) may not petition to bring parents to live permanently in the United States.

Read the process here about the forms to use:

If you are filing for both parents, you must file a separate petition I-130 for each parent.

You will be notified by the USCIS if your I-130 petition is approved or denied. If it is approved and your parent is outside the U.S., your parent will be notified to go to the local U.S. consulate to complete his or her visa processing.

And you as the petitioner must provide I-864 each for your parents.

After USCIS approves the i130, the case is forwarded to NVC. Looking at your signature, your case went to NVC as well so I'm pretty sure you know the NVC process already. ?

The above posts are correct. You have to file i130 for each parent. Separate check payments as well.
