I-864 Income Question

On the I-864 Part 6 #5, what income do I put here? Would it be the ytd off lastest paystub or do I put the income from his 2012 income tax transcript? Part 6 #13 is where I put in his tax information from the last 3 years of tax transcripts. I do not want any RFE's. And will 3 years tax tanscripts, 6 months paystubs and a letter from employer be enough to proof to prove income?

On part 6 # 5 total gross income on line #37 1040 form

On part6 #13 recent tax total income should be the total income can be found on 1040 line #22 federal tax return

Unless he/she filed 1040ez use line37 total gross income instead

How do you know this? Where did you find this information? On the instructions for I-864 is gives nothing specific for Part 6 #5. I have his tax transcripts and there are no line #'s so I do I know what to use?

part 6 #5 is his current income.

if he is paid hourly you do

pay per hour x hours per week x 52 weeks = current yearly income.

(I'm sure you can figure this out for if he's paid a salary...)

Part 6 #13 is the the gross income if filing 1040 and adjusted gross income if filing 1040ez

If you husband qualifies as an only sponsor and is not using assets, I suggest the I-864EZ instead of the I-864.

Ok so which is it, one of yous is saying part 6 #5 is from 1040 tax return and one is saying current income????? I really don't want to get an rfe. I want to make sure everything is correct. I thought it was current income too. So I think I will just go with his ytd and send in paystubs that show ytd. Thanks a lot for the replies.

CURRENT INCOME... they cannot get current income from your tax return. That is what he is currently making. Which is exactly what I said. Do not go with year to date because the year just started (unless you're going with last year's YTD and he worked a whole year with that company and makes the same wage right now.)

Also I highly recommend the I-864ez if you don't have a joint sponsor. The form is way easier. We used it with success, i'm in the USA.
