AOS/EAD - RFE response received Dec 26th, how much longer :/

Hi all,

Our K1 AOS packet was received Nov 12th. I received an rfe Dec 16th due to not sending complete tax records of my wife (d'oh), but upon them receiving the documents they required (USCIS case update states rfe received Dec 26th) we're back to waiting. It's so tough not being allowed to work, I'm bored out oft mind and I NEED to work.

My EAD USCIS still states 'initial review' received November 12th.

Is there anything I can do yet? :/

Timeline for Matthew & Genevieve

I129F sent: 03/20/13

NOA1: 04/02/13

Transfer to TX SC: 07/10

NOA2: 07/24/13

NVC case number given: 08/16/13

NVC 'Ready': 08/19/13

Medical: 08/31/13

Packet 3 forms submitted before receiving letter: 08/20/13

Packet 3 letter received: 09/05/13

Medical results logged: 09/05/13

Packet 3 documents logged: 09/19/13

Interview date assigned: 09/25/13

Interview date: 10/01/13 (Approved)

Due to collect passport from the Embassy (arranged 10/04): collected from London Embassy 10/08/13 (day before my flight!)

Flight/POE: 10/09/13 - Minneapolis

GOT HITCHED!! - 11/01/13
Filed AOS - 11/05/13

EAD received - 02/27/14
Green Card received - 06/12/14

I doubt there's anything you can do yet as you're still within the 3 month processing time for EAD. I got mine just after the 2 month mark, hopefully you'll hear something soon.

Thanks for the reply, still waiting for an update on both the green card & EAD. So frustrating, I just want to work already.

Even without RFE EAD usually takes between 60-90 days so you are still within normal processing times..

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.

My NOA for EAD was Nov 6th and i received it a little over a week ago so hopefully you will not be far behind

Appreciate that, thank you. Did you have an RFE at all?

Really hoping to hear something by the end of next week, the RFE was a quick turn around (the day we received it in the mail was the day I returned it with the right tax documents), so fingers crossed
