  1. 1. Can a husband rape his wife?

    • Yes, if she does not consent then it is rape.
    • No, marriage bestows upon the Holy Penis the right to penetrate any bodily orifice (on His bride) of His choice at a time of His choosing.
  2. 2. Does the GOP have too many old guys?

    • Yes. The GOP desperately needs more diversity and I don't just mean racial diversity.
    • No. You can never have too many old guys.

After losing all major statewide races to Democrats for the first time in 24 years, Republicans in Virginia are pushing to replace a moderate GOP congressman with a candidate so conservative that he doesn’t even believe that spousal rape should be a crime.

On Wednesday, Mother Jones pointed out that state Sen. Richard H. “#######” Black, who is running to take over retiring Rep. Frank Wolf’s seat, had fought against making spousal rape a crime because the woman was “sleeping in the same bed, she’s in a nightie.”

Democrat Shawn Mitchell had uncovered the 2002 video of Black talking about spousal rape for an attack ad during the 2011 campaign for Virginia state Senate.

“I do not know how you could validly get a conviction of a husband-wife rape, when they’re living together, sleeping in the same bed, she’s in a nightie and so forth,” Black says. “There’s not injuries, there’s no separation or anything.”

Didn't you know? Obama is the catch-all for everything. When the GOP messes up, there's always Benghazi, Obamacare, and my personal favorite, the birth certificate.

When I see this, I have to challenge the validity of their hatred of Obama. Because I get it if you don't agree with his policies, but when you have to name check him for every single thing that comes around, it makes me think...

Yup Benghazi--Just a bunch of right wing racist nut jobs

You were doing so good improving your commie bona fides and then this. For a moment I thought there was hope for you yet. But I may have been mistaken.

The guy said it would be hard to get a conviction if they are married, her in a nightie in the same bed.

His statement is 100% accurate

Yes, he said that, and because he said it and believes it, he's trivialized a very real, very objectionable form of rape. Putting the blinkers on and trying to find the 'benign' interpretation of what he said is asinine, not least if you actually address the validity of the statement rather than swallowing it whole. Who believes that marital rape is unprovable? I don't, there are lots of indicators that experts can and do use to assess the validity of a rape claim. Not least, do you really have no clue as to how badly a man can bruise and scar a woman internally if they force themselves upon her? Women do not need external scars nor do they need to prove what they wear or do not wear at night in order to prove a case of rape, to suggest that she does is as bigoted as the views of the candidate, bigoted and a slap in the face to everyone in the electorate who thinks this form of rape is as objectionable as any other.

Didn't say it wasn't, but seriously? Is this what we've come to? It's Obama's fault since he was in office at the time, but 9/11 is Clinton's fault since he didn't get to him first?

I'm with MBD, pass whatever you're smoking to me, I gotta hit that!

Who took responsibility for the Beirut bombing, instead of denying everything. I think the worst part was them trying to play it off as a protest gonewrong, and make some filmaker the bad guy

Honestly 9-11 not Clintons fault, but not Bushs any more than Clintons
