Petitioner's most recent ITR 1040 was year 2014. He doesnt have yet his 2015 itr 1040. Beneficiary is making her way to schedule interview in Manila this february. Our concern is, would it be okay if we will use year 2014 itr 1040 since the petitioner will still file for his 2015 itr 1040 this coming week and we dont know when will it be released.

Thank you!

FWIW, the only evidence I provided for I-134 was my employment letter. There wasn't even a mention of W-2 or 1040 on I-134 Inst (provided your sponsor is not self-employed), so I didn't bother. I think they want you to provide evidence if your income is not sufficient enough that your beneficiary can become a public charge. The I-864 is where they'll really start to look for stuff. You'll see a lot of "musts" in the I-864 Inst.

Hey, can you pls verify if ITR and W-2 is required only for those who are self employed? Thanks!

ITR and W2 are listed as required for ALL.

Always follow the embassy instructions letter.

Thanks, Hank! Is there a difference between form 1040A and Form 1040?

question, is it okay to pre-register at SLEC online today but my medical exam will be two days from now?

It's okay. There'll be no problem with that.

No problem to pre-register with SLEC a few days early.

Form 1040 is the most complex of the 3 major individual tax forms — and it offers tax breaks that aren't available on the simpler Form 1040EZ or Form 1040A.

Both are valid tax returns.

So 1040A is accepted as evidence of support?
