Waiting for interview, 3rd week now. Normal?

This is my first post here

Long story short... I've applied for EB1 (I-140), got approved. Case was completed in NVC on 30 Dec 2013. On 10 Jan 2014 I got the e-mail from NVC that confirmed that my case was complete and waiting for an interview (E1 priority dates have been Current for some time now...)

My interview will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The thing is that:

1. It's now the beginning of 3rd week since the case got completed with NVC,and I am still waiting...

2. I called the US embassy in Sofia, and they told me that they've already sent their interviews schedule for until end of March. They said that they send their schedule once every two months and next month they'll send the schedule for April.

So my questions are two actually:

1. Is it normal to wait that long for the interview date, or it probably means that there is no available dates till March and I am looking to get one in April? It sounds weird, because we're a small country, I doubt that there are so many immigrant interviews going on here...

2. I do have a B1/B2 visa...I've visited the US 5-6 times already, and last time I spent 5.5 months (from 17 May /case wasn't filed to USCIC as of this date/ to 3 Nov 2013). If I go now, so I can wait for my interview date from there (and will just fly back for the actual interview), do you think they'll let me in, given that I have an immigrant visa pending and that last time I spent 5.5 months there, and it was 3-4 months ago? If they don't let me in, does that risk my green card in any way?
