I just checked today after a week from the interview, and the AP changed to Ready. I'm confused and a little nervous as to what that means.

Very likely you will see ISSUED in the near future.

For the I-134 affidavit support, we don't have W-2 but we have tax transcripts from the IRS for 2012 (latest tax year) going back to 2009.

The tax transcript contains the wage indicated on the W-2 plus other capital gains from assets. So is it OK to just present the tax transcript to the consular officers, since this shows al income and not just income from wages (W-2)? Thanks for any input.

You only need the most recent tax return/transcript, which currently is 2012. The embassy does not ask for additional years tax returns, and will not accept them if you try to give them to the CO.

Visa has arrived! I have a question though, I've read through the forums here that we shouldn't open the sealed plastic containing the documents, however my passport and visa are all inside? What do I do?

No issue opening the plastic bag, what is an issue is opening the big envelope stamped DO NOT OPEN!!

We removed the passport but left the envelope in the plastic bag (to keep it safe) and that went into our carryon bag for POE.
