*** First come, first serve. They are open from 7AM-10AM. Try to get there really early so she can have her stuff done in the morning and they can send the lab stuff to the dr's in the afternoon.

They will do lab work, blood, & chest exam

She will need her passport, 1 photo and interview letter. I don't have any info on how much it costs.

She can't eat the night before.

it's good info, especially about not eating the night before. does the medical letter sent in packet 4 say not to eat? or is this common knowledge?

anyway, nothing yet on the interview date. i call everyday so i can buy my ticket but they tell me the same thing, the dates will be determined by the 2nd week of june for the july appts. if it's not for july, i hope it will be for early aug before i return. airline prices are a lot higher than what i'm used to paying. take care george

well, the time has come. i called this morning and we have our interview date for July 10!! the nvc guy explained how this means that we have less than a month and that i should fax and dhl my copy of the packet to my wife since the chances of her getting it before the interview are slim. i immediately called my wife, she is sooooo happy and told me that she would call and make the appts with whoever is available for the first week of july. ok, got to start getting everything together before i fly down.

Make sure she gets her vaccinations done today or tomorrow. Because I believe one of the required vaccinations is given in 2 parts. There has to be a certain period of time inbetween doses.

thanks kids. i just bought my tickets. prices have come down with avianca, paid $640 from jkf to baq/ rt. i also booked the one way ticket for my wife with the miles i have in avianca plus, came out to $105, not bad. since we're about a week apart, george should be getting something around next week. but with any luck it might happen sooner with an interview date maybe around the week of the 16th?

Yet another question for the CR1 visa peeps (as George likes to say). Did you or have you needed the NOA2 you got from USCIS? We were approved on 05/03 and I still haven't received mine, should I call and ask them to mail it to me or should I just let it slide? I'm just so sick of dealing with those people since they didn't send me the NOA1 untill I called them several times.

never needed either one and noone has ever asked for it but i would still hound them until you have it. its yours and you should have it for your records but nothing you should be concerned about. as long as your case is moving along, you're fine.
