So, in order for me to amend passport, i need to report my marriage first. Can any of you guys help me with reasons why the delayed registration of marriage?! Somehow i cant think of any. helpsmilie.gif

5/12/2011--------------- NOA2!!! (approved in 126 days)
5/17/2011--------------- NOA2 hard copy
7/14/2011-------------- INTERVIEW DAY! ( IM APPROVED!!!! YES!!! )
7/23/2011-------------- Visa On Hand
8/26/2011-------------- POE - San Francisco
10/15/2011------------ MARRIED!!

AOS Journey

11/26/2011------------ NOA hard copy
12/08/2011------------ Biometrics appointment letter received for 12/22/11 9AM
12/09/2011------------- Transfer Notice: AOS transferred to CSC

Same here, we got married Sept and we registered our marriage on Dec. They gave us the Affidavit of Late Registration, just need to sign it there. They charged us for $25 for the notary and $25 for filling. :)

10/10/13 - Email Notification for AOS/EAD/AP

10/19/13 - NOA1 EAD

11/07/13 - BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

11/16/13 - USCIS Status for I-485: Testing and Interview

12/03/13 - USCIS Status for I-131 AP - Approved / USCIS Status for I-485 - Card/ Document Production

01/07/14 - INTERVIEW @ 1:00pm, USCIS Hagatna Guam -APPROVED

01/08/14 - Card Production Ordered

01/09/14 - Register Permanent Status

01/14/14 - For Delivery with USPS Tracking No.

1/24/14/ - GC on hand

ROC I-751

10/09/15 - Eligible for ROC

10/21/15 - I-751 Packet mailed via USPS (2 day Priority Mail)

10/23/15 - Delivered to USCIS California Service Center

10/27/15 - $590 charged to account.

10/29/15 - received NOA dated 10/23/15

11/06/15 - Biometrics received for 11/18/15 appointment

The one that is written on their affidavit of late registration was "I/We was/were unaware that our marriage had to be registered with the Phil Consulate Gen office in Agana, Guam within 30days from the date of the solemnization of said marriage, hence the reason is delayed."

We didn't do report of marriage for almost 8 months after getting marred, renewed the passport in her married name also. Delay? No one asked why we delayed and we didn't write anything on the form.

We waited for a consulate outreach program to get in our area is the actual reason for our delay, but none of the consulate personnel cared one way or the other.
