At this point, I would wait until he at least has his 2013 W-2s. Employers need to give them out by the 31st of this month, so he should have them very soon.

2013 W-2s and some recent paystubs should be fine.

Not enough. Have them send you the complete returns (or IRS tax transcripts which are free from the IRS) for the previous two years, PLUS copies of about three recent pay summaries and then a letter from the employer stating they earn what they claim.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Some consulate require only 1 year, some consulate might want to see 3 years. Since your fiancée already did mail you I-134 and things of 2012. She can EMAIL you scanned copy of w2 for 2013 if she can make it before your interview. W2 and ITR can be scan copy

London is quite easy on evidence. They only took faxed copy of employer letter in my case out of all tax returns,w2s etc. For peace of mind though I'd get w2 's from 2013 and some paystubs/letter of employer to prove current income rather than 2012 income, I think thats what they are more interested in.

You should be fine since 2013 tax returns won't be required until April. If you just have the tax return, and not a transcript, you need to have ALL forms that were used in filing (all schedules, forms, w2s, etc.) This is why its so much easier to just get a tax return transcript. You will also want to provide proof of current income, like pay stubs, employer letter, etc. Just some things to keep in mind. But using 2012 taxes are OK at this point.

It's a tax return transcript. Hopefully that and the 2012 W2s and 2013 W2s will be enough :)

If you have a tax return transcript, you don't need the W2's for it. All of that information is a part of the transcript. However, bringing the 2013 W2's may be a good idea.
