Vancouver. Married 22 yrs, together for 24, children both dual. Unbelievable. Contacted Congressman and they gave him a date of April for I-130 approval (a full year). Filed for K3 but that never went anywhere. It used to be so easy (and quick) when you could file your I-130 at Vancouver Consulate and then it was forwarded directly to Montreal.

I'm a January 2013 filer STILL waiting for NOA2. You will learn some semblance of patience (or perhaps it's insanity) from this process.

Good luck.

Given that you are out of the processing time frame, I think you can contact the Ombudsman or the petitioner's congressperson. USCIS says they're adjudicating from I-130s from February 13, 2013. If your NOA-1 is prior to that, I think you have USCIS' permission to make noise.

I hope you get your NOA2 soon!!!!

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

Given that you are out of the processing time frame, I think you can contact the Ombudsman or the petitioner's congressperson. USCIS says they're adjudicating from I-130s from February 13, 2013. If your NOA-1 is prior to that, I think you have USCIS' permission to make noise.

Yep.. been doing all these things for months now.. and nothing does anything. Because our case was sent to a local field office, no one gives a rat's ####### about us. I know there are still a few others from Jan and Feb who were sent to the local offices who are in the same boat.

22 Jan 2013 -- packageSent
31 Jan 2013 -- NOA1 from NBC

6 Mar 2013 -- I130 transferred to Orlando local field office (which started the whole nightmare)

Mar 2013 to October 2013 no one would tell us where our case was or what was happening. I suspected the whole time it was just sitting in a corner somewhere in the Orlando field office. I was pretty much right.

October 2013 - get congressman involved. Congressman asks USCIS repeatedly about our case but they won't even tell them anything.

31 Jan 2014- finally get NOA2!!!! (we think the nightmare is over!)

NVC

Our case was not sent from the Orlando field office as it should have been. The nightmare continues. We kept calling NVC and asking if they received our case, and they always said "NO" and that we had to wait 90 business days for it to be received. We called USCIS during this time and they kept telling us it had been sent. After the 90 days of agonizing frustration, NVC then started telling us we had to wait 120 business days. I got our congressman involved again, and they told the congressman it was sitting at the Orlando office this whole time (just as I thought it was!).

22 Apr 2014 -- NVC received
16 May 2014 -- NVC case number assigned
24 May 2014 -- AoS and IV bills paid

28 May 2014 -- Sent AoS and IV Packages

6 June 2014 -- documents scanned

18 July 2014 -- false checklist from NVC

21 July 2014 -- Case complete

28 July 2014 -- receive case complete email from NV

30 July 2014 -- interview booked! September 11 here I come!

15 Sept 2014 -- Package arrived at Loomis location!!!
**03 Oct 2014 -- POE!! **

Sorry if I'm asking you a question you've probably already answered 8 billion times (it annoys me to no end), but did you schedule an InfoPass at the local office? And if so, you didn't get anywhere?

I don't know how helpful it will be at this point to lawyer up, but my heart goes out to you - I would be ripping my hair out!

my 1st stephchild took a total of 2.5 years for an ir 2 visa. the noa2 took over a year to get but it's because i waited on RFE.

just filed for the 2nd. it'll be 8 months before i get an answer from uscis, assuming i don't get another RFE

for the one that's been waiting over a year, i would start calling - just my opinion. Unfortunately i discovered that while they tell you they're all about keeping families together, things do fall through the cracks. In my case, it happened several times.

if it's been a year, just my opinion, but i would call.
