Evidently, firearms are not the answer. Patriotic citizens should arm themselves with hand grenades and bazookas.

Personally, I'll probably look into getting myself a tank for when I want to go to the movies. Full body armor and an RPG to go inside. Anything less would be irresponsible.

no. i'm saying if someone has the propensity to murder another, they will. regardless of location or the laws of that particular location.

Sure and there's a clear difference between a situation where two guys killed another because that was their explicit intention and a situation where someone was killed as a result of an argument that got out of hand.

Did the guy in the cinema go there with the express intention of killing someone?

Still an unstable person who happened to be an ex cop. The cops seem to shoot a lot of people who shouldn't be shot.

I think if I am in a theater and the person in front of me is texting during the movie, it might be justifiable homicide

Of course not really, but someone using a phone in a dark room at a movie makes you want to kick butt.

In America, it's a choice between being taxed to death for no good reason in a blue state and living around a bunch of gun totin' animals in a red state.

This is no country for poor people.

That makes Vermont, what, purple?

idk. i'm not him. I do know he was quick to draw & fire. so, I don't think he had the express intention to not kill someone before going to the cinema. the way it played out, i'd say he was open to the idea.

How does the average person tell the difference between a legal gun owner who takes their gun to the cinema in a bid to prevent themselves becoming a victim of crime and a legal gun owner who takes their gun to the cinema as means of intimidation? Why wasn't the gun victim saved by another legal gun owner realizing that the legal gun owner who shot the unarmed texter was in fact a criminal disguised as a legal gun owner by shooting first? Surely this scenario illustrates exactly why allowing citizens to go around armed wherever they like is completely and utterly ridiculous?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Yup.

Presumably the average person should carry a gun and just look out for themselves 24/7. Ready to blast at a moment's notice.
