A different way of asking it would be do you think it reasonable to take a gun to the cinema or with you into a restaurant? Then it doesn't matter what you do or don't do, only what you think.

Where is it safe to go unarmed Charles? If you think it's sensible to go out armed to the theater, a reastaurant or a night out then I can't imagine the circumstance were it's not sensible. Please, do tell, the swimming pool?

It isn't. No one cares except to prove whether or not you have a sensible personal code of conduct on arms. You keep arguing a cavalier attitude to gun carrying but it's probably all rubbish. In real life you probably wouldn't consider going to a restaurant armed but you somehow feel that other people should have that right to decide to do so if they want even if in practical terms you do not believe it is sensible to do so. It's not dangerous to suggest that some gun owners make stupid decisions about carrying guns Charles, you will not get into trouble if you do.

my personal code of conduct with arms does not matter to you. i see potential reasons to carry in public, and you do not. i don't consider being prudent at times being cavalier, but you do.

if you don't like the idea of firearms in public, don't carry one.

Charles wants to argue that gun aficionados have the right to make their own decisions as to where and when it's appropriate to go armed as if it's down to the individual and not a question of some things being appropriate and others not. Its a total cop-out but I expect it's the rational that all the gun aficiandos go by. If you feel it's appropriate it's appropriate, everything else is irrelevant.

actually it's the law that determines where one can carry, not the individual, as some places are still prohibited to carry.
