Since we are no longer discussing the heroin abuse rampant among Vermont residents, I suggest the mods close this thread, and the discussion can move to another thread, closer to the topic at hand.

This discussion could be about 3 headed Martians. If 3 headed Martians were 15% of the population and committed 40% of the crimes and I lived somewhere where only 5% of the population was 3 headed Martians and the crime rate was substantially lower, it MIGHT be reasonable to draw the conclusion that the absence of 3 headed Martians MAY have something to do with the crime rate. NOT EVERYTHING, but PERHAPS it is part of the reason.

Your state lacks the minorities and the socioeconomic conditions that are more prevalent in other states. There are other states with liberal gun laws like Vermont and they have a higher crime rate, so the possibility of everyone being armed isn't the sole reason for Vermont's crime rate as you constantly claim. Demographics and social and economic conditions play a major role.

But three's no point in discussing it with you. You have a larger group that falls for the bait.

So besides the lack of blacks which we have already been informed is the main reason we have low crime....because blacks cause crime and just because they are unfairly imprisoned in disproportionate numbers...well...that proves it.

Moving ahead...what socioeconomic conditions is Vermont dereft of? We have a higher percentage of drug users than any state and an international border, average income and poverty level...so WHAT exactly, are we lacking...besides blacks? State specifically please and provide links.

No other state has gun laws as lenient as Vermont. Period. None. Vermont has been consistent since being admitted as the 14th state in 1791. No other state can even compare.

There are 50 states, there will always be one with more or less crime. There will always be one which has the highest and the lowest. I make my claims and no one has been able to dispute it....until now. You and Mr. Big Dog have determined it is a lack of blacks, not firearms freedom that cause Vermont to be low crime. The less crime there is, the more a single crime impacts the crime rate

In EVERY state that has implemented concealed carry the crime rate has gone down...regardless of all other factors. Some have gone down more than others, but all have gone down. If concealed carry were a bad thing, at least ONE would have an increase...unlesss they do not allow blacks to carry concealed, right? But who does that? YOUR state. Massachusetts has a AMY ISSUE system of permits and the permits are overwhemingly issued to wealthy white people...poor blacks in poor scoioeconomic conditions are barred the use of firearms...the people most in need of self defense caanot have it. New York and New Jersey have similar racist systems.

Where everyone is allowed to defend themselves, the people most in need of defense CANNOT be denied. This is why the crime rate reductions follwoing CC implementation have always favored blacks and women...the people most likely to be VICTIMS are most benefitted by being able to defend themselves. Who'da thunk it?

So I welcome your further details of the socioeconomics of Vermont and how they affect our crime rate.

After you do that, detail how gun laws affect socioeconomic conditions.
