I received notice that my approved I-130 was shipped to the Department of State. Why was it sent to the Deparment of State instead of the National Visa Center?

The NVC is an extension of the Department of State.

Is yours a spousal petition (CR1/IR1) ?

Was your loved one affected by Haiyan ?

Yeah theyre the same....mine says "we have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)......." this notice was submitted by the CSC.
