THANK YOU GOD!!!! Thank you VJ Family for being so supportive of us yesterday. Last night we went to church here in Santo Domingo and the entire church along with all of you (our friends) and family stood firm on God's faith.

Ok so here is the latest update:

1.Yesterday we called the NVC to have them look at our case in their system. They said our case was opened and they didn't have any notes in the systems indicating a delay. They sent an email to the Embassy here in Santo Domingo. They told us to wait for a response via e-mail. ClockWatch2.gif

2. I needed to speak with someone face to face so we decided to visit the Embassy. helpsmilie.gif We arrived at the Embassy at 8:25am to see if we could speak to someone regarding our case. FYI if you ever have to go to the Embassy on behalf of your case, you have to arrive before 8am to get a ticket for window #27 or window #28 which is located outside the Embassy. Since we didn't know this we were told to come back tomorrow because we were too late to get in line. There were 2 lines with about 20 people waiting. After a few minutes of speaking to a few ladies and explaining our case briefly we were granted Favour and were admitted in the line to wait. Sigh....smile.png

3. We were called to window #28 to speak with this very nice lady. We explained that we were approved on December 23, 2013 and we were still waiting for his passport to arrive with his visa. She asked did we pay the Domex, we said yes, she asked to see our receipt, which we had.good.gif We had our entire file with us along with evidence which weighs about 10 pounds or more! yes.gif We were told that Santo Domingo is the 2nd busiest country processing visa's at this time which is why there is a delay. She checked her computer and said there is not a problem, you were approved, no worries, just wait for your passport to arrive. I explained to her the information on CEAC website. Her words were "Oh no don't pay attention to that, that form doesn't matter. What matters is what is in my computer and there is not a problem with your case. I will go ahead and send an email to see what the hold up is with your visa, but the only thing I can tell you is to wait, it could take up to 6 weeks."

4. No problem with our case, and just wait. Yippeee music to our ears! kicking.gif

5. FYI- We have called the Domex a million times and it is hard to get through. So we decided to visit the office face to face to see why its so hard for them to answer the phone. To my surprise the office didn't have that many representatives working. We spoke with a young lady behind the desk and she informed us that they have office hours on Saturday's but no one answers the phones. So don't call on saturday's.

6. By the time we returned home, there was an email waiting for us saying,

"Good morning,

Thank you for your inquiry below regarding the status of your K-1 Fiancée Visa application.

To continue with the process of his visa, Mr. Juan Alberto Lopez needs to call 809-200-3232 to schedule an appointment in order to sign his DS-156 application.

If we can be of further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.headbonk.gif

Sincerely,

M.A.

In DR you need to bring ds-156k the day of interview.

If you dont bring it, you have delay on your process
