I-134 Support Affidavit

Hello Journeyers,

I just called the department of state in Washington, DC and asked them what documentation is needed to submit along with the I-134 and she just told me that you just need a W-2 and that's it.

I was under the impression that you needed a lot more along with this particular form.

Is she telling me the truth? LOL

during my recent interview, I only submitted i-134, tax return and latter from employer.

Someone at DOS cannot tell you exactly what you need for the I-134 because is varies depending on the embassy. Most will want to see at least the most recent year tax return. Basically you need to have enough evidence to prove your current income and your ability to support your fiance.

The i-134 form expiration was 12/31/2013. Does anyone used this form from their recent interview?

The most appropriate place to contact about the I-134 and what documentation is needed with it is the consulate in which you will have your K-1 interview. Consulates vary in what they require. DoS in Washington cannot really help you accurately. The I-134 is not really even a DoS form.

And about the expiration date of the I-134. That has been asked about many times lately. A simple search would probably produce those threads quickly. But anyway...

It is not about the expiration date, It is the edition date that matters Although in this case, it doesn't matter either because previous editions are accepted.
