after initial interview still waiting

my fiancee had the interview back in september 23rd 2013 and a worksheet was given to her to provide 3 people that can identify her A FRIEND NEIGHBOUR AND FAMILY WITH THERE PHONE # ADDRESS AND NAME UP TILL NOW NO WORD FROM THE CONSULATE IN LAGOS.THEY'VE NOT CONTACTED THESE PEOPLE AND EVERYTIME I EMAIL THEY REPLY THAT IS STILL GOING THROUGH ADMIN PROCESS

INITIALLY THEY SAID IS GOING TO TAKE 90DAYS IS MORE THAN 90 AND WE COUNTING

DO ANYONE HAD SIMILAR SITUATION OR HAVE AN IDEA HOW LONG THESE MIGHT TAKE

THE WHOLE ISSUES REALLY FRUSTRATING

More than likely they are investigating the people watching your fiancee' and the people you listed. Asking questions in the neighborhood you would be surprised what they do in field investigations.

Exactly what questions were asked at interview and was there a specific focus the CO asked on?

Got to say this is a new one to ask. Seems her identity is being investigated which isn't a surprise for some in Nigeria since its so easy to get new name birth certificate and other things.

All you can do is wait and see what happens. No one can speed up AP.

i really took my time before filling for her am so busy also never thought is going to be these much headache

I will say this and you need to talk to your fiancee' and ask her to be honest. Ask her what name she used? What passport she used?

They are questioning her identity. many Nigerians once denied go get other "papers" get a new passport and file with new name. She needs to come clean. This does not look good when the US government ask for people to identify you.

Field visits are rare in Nigeria and even rarer for females, as is AP.

I know of one field visit of a friend of a distant relative. They sent someone to the village in Ogun state, yes a village to confirm some facts.

That being said, they simply don't have the resource to do this for every case, so something brought this up.

Please do not mistake the next few questions as an insult on your integrity,

Were you involved in her applying for the tourist visa and were there differing answers on the forms? Please note that they know who she is already at the embassy during the K1 interview based on the previous B2 interview.

On her passport and birth certificates, does everything line up?

Did she use the same passport during both interviews?

Does she have a child?

You're going to have to do a very frank conversation with your Fiancee about what exactly happened during the interview because this is odd.

Only those that are suspect. They do not have the manpower or resources to check everyone.

Fingerprints were taken and for them to ask what they ask who they have in the system isn't who came to the interview its that simple. So either its a horrible mistake or someone needs to tell all.

And as you see this has nothing to do with your bonafide relationship but everyone needs to be fully vetted if at all possible.

During our initial K1 petition I emailed then ad nauseum, the always replied. So I don't think that it matters.

So you'll just have to wait.

If you know her intimately, you've been around her where she lives, been around her family, around her coworkers, etc for weeks and months then you'll be fine. nothing untowards should surface.

I was thinking about this. So you are saying that in the 3 months timeline they gave you that they haven't even contacted the contacts that you gave them?
