reached the embassy at 5am... my intngerview was 7am, i found people already waiting to get inside and we sat out till 7am... a Kenyan lady came and started calling our names as we get inside.. went through the security check and finally inside the embassy.. went to the reception and got a small paper with a number C417 and the lady asked to sit until my number is called.... i was called at window 5 to submit in my documents i.e DS-160, police certificate, birth certificate, Affidavit of support, 2 photographs 2 by 2 and my passport.... she asked me afew questions if i have ever lived in any other country, ever been in US, do i have children, have i ever been married before, i am married? and so many more but the answers were no.... so she asked me to go back sit and wait to be called.. was called again at window 8 to take my finger prints and this was an old American lady, i took my finger prints and went back to my sit, so finally i was called at window 10 and this was the interview lady, she was American either in late 30s or early 40s... these were her questions;

how did yo meet your fiance? i said on line Afro-introductions...

what was he doing on line yet he was still married? i said no he wasn't married, he divorced in 2009 and we met in 2010

how long have you been with him? 3years and 4months now

so why were you trying to go and live with your sister on a student visa yet you were still with your fiance? i said no i wasnt trying to go live on a student visa, it was an offer from my brother in law to go back to school and study....

why didn't you ask your fiance to take you to school? i said during that time me and my fiance had our differences....

why did you say in the student visa application that he said you were young and he reconciled with his ex-wife? i said yes he said i was young then but he didn't reconcile with his ex-wife, its me who thought so but that never happened

so does your fiance have children? i said yes he does.

how many? i said two

who do they live with? i said they live with the mother

so when did you and your fiance get back together? i said in August 2012

did he come to see you after you got back together? i said yes

when did he come? on the 28th of March 2013 to the 11th of April 2013

how long did he stay? two weeks

then she looked at our pictures and said, ohhh he doesn't look his age, he looks 30yrs.... i smiled and said he works out but thanks for the compliment...

so she gave me back the pictures we put in the petition and both our birth certificate and then gave me a green paper written on congratulations!!! your visa has been approved with a book and of domestic violence..... she said you will check with DHL after a week for your visa...i said thank you and have a great day then she smiled and said likewise..

i think if you front load your petition its a good thing... then during the interview listen carefully coz they ask tricky questions like my second question.. be confident, look into the interviewer eyes as you answer the questions coz that's a sign you telling the truth... and lastly try to know much about your fiance as possible and also his previous marriage if his ever been married.... wish you guys luck and thank you my VJ family for all your help.... this was a JOURNEY for real but glory to God for the joy i have now...
