You said you don't own a TV so it doesn't matter. That in itself isn't an opinion, in fact it adds precisely nothing to the topic. If it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter.

The fact that the thread is two days old and there are precisely 14 posts (15 including this one) is an indication of how much it matters to people.

Apology accepted.

Like I said, Doesn't matter

How do you know when someone doesn't have/watch television? They're sure to tell you. Multiple times.

We get it. Nobody finds it impressive.

So tell me who it actually matters to? It is a TV show. What happens if you don't watch it? What happens if no one watches it and it goes off the air? I get plenty of news and never see it on TV

This constant bickering over what News Stations say is nonsense, TURN IT OFF, Cut the cable, take your wife to the theatre or out to dinner with the money you save.

I mean do you really think I am selfish because I DON'T watch FOX news? Seriously? You WANT people to watch FOX news?

Well the point was that you made it about yourself. But I agree, people should turn it off. However, that's not happening. So we're left to discuss the radicalization that is becoming more and more apparent across the country, in part to the agenda pushing "news" channels. They decided a long time ago that people would rather hear opinion than actual news stories. Some of us think this is hurting America.

You don't watch the news. Noted........ again.

And some people ditch cable simply because it is #######. That's a trend that has gained steam over the past few years as online TV services have become better. Some people are just slower than others.

Why would someone bring the best broadband available to his home, the best voice, and not watch the TV stuff that comes with the package?

I don't need cable TV to watch whatever cable TV offers. I can watch it when I want to watch it and don't have the hassle of advertisements interrupting every 5 minutes. It's cheaper, too, so there is really no upside to buying the cable access and pay for the set top boxes. Sports maybe the one thing that one might still want cable for but I only really care to watch soccer and that I can stream easily and with significantly better choice of matches than what cable offers. Cable would be - and, in fact used to be - a total waste of money for me. So I ditched it.

Like I said, to get 50Mbps for each device hooked to my network and clear VOIP with unlimited calls and features, the TV programming was just part of the package. Besides the wife can and does multitask, watching tv, using the laptop, and the Android all at the same time, with more internet speed available than she could possibly use. It's much better than what AT&T has to offer, costs less and much better quality and I was paying for DirecTV on top of that. Miss some of the DirecTV programming, but not losing signal every time it rains or the wind blows. 3G is limited in the area, 4G is hard to find, so the choices are spotty coverage, DSL, or Broadband. I choose broadband.
