She was going to buy paper towels and didn't think she needed to carry her gun

Texas has a shall issue permit system and much higher crime than Vermont where any woman can carry a gun...even Canadians. The rapist was pretty safe in assuming she wouldn't have a gun in Texas, mathmatical odds are in his favor.

Concealed carry reduces crime, it reduces crime most for women and minorities and the more people allowed to carry, the greater the reduction in crime...a trend that has followed in ALL 50 states. Texas needs to scrap its CC license and allow anyone to carry. This woman would not have been raped if that were the law.

It's my sad duty to inform you that in Gary's mind, guns are the only thing standing between the good and the evil. The baby changing stations are nice as are flat toilet paper dispensers. Sometimes I have to tuck it in my boot or just hold it. Woe to the man who busts in!

2. It is attached to my belt in a pancake holster with a belt loop between the slots so it doesn't move.

3. Drop your drawers, do your business and pull them up. No issue. I do it every day.

We deserve a high crime rate if we allow our elected officials to disarm us. Women are protected when they have a CHOICE to carry a gun. They do not have to carry a gun, they only need to have the choice. I am pro-choice, you are not

The easier it is for a woman to excerise that choice, whether she does or not, the safer she is.

I have no idea if more women in Vermont carry guns than women in Texas carry guns. The difference is that ALL women in Vermont have the choice without having to ask government permission...and none of them get raped in their own garage and none of them have their guns taken from them and used against them and none of them have to shoot rapists.

Dear god, really? How about auto insurance? I've never had an accident, so by your "non-liberal logic" I shouldn't need it. and ditto for homeowners insurance, I guess? There you go folks, only purchase insurance if you are sure you'll need it, otherwise, somebody else will be benefiting at your expense.

First of all, we already have a relatively high crime rate, despite the easy availability of guns. Secondly, who is talking about disarming the population in general? Most people I know aren't in favor of completely outlawing guns, they just don't feel it makes sense to allow somebody sell their weapons to anybody, no questions asked and complain how we need more guns to protect from said same people they sold their guns to.
