Her visa is only valid for a year after POE... the actual green card should have a two year expiration date. If it does not then you need to send it back to the USCIS with an I-90 and get it fixed.

The passport stamp is only temporary and 1 year ( I think it is 1 yr for any immigrant visa). The validity of the passport stamp doesn't reflect the validity of the GC that you would receive later.

The temporary green card once endorsed in the USA is only valid for 1 year after POE.

You have to pay a $165 fee and sign up on the ELIS website to get the 2 year green card.

I already went to the ELIS site and paid the 165.00 I thought that's the way it was but I wasn't sure.

when paying the payment I had some trouble when it said processing payment all the sudden it said

payment failed. I logged out and back in again to try to pay again but it wouldn't let me and on case

status it said payment submitted. I checked my bank account and they withdrew the money yesterday.

Can you tell me how long it takes for payment status to go from submitted to paid?

It will take about 1-3 months after POE or payment (whichever happened second) to get the green card. Keep checking the ELIS account to see updates. But remember it can take up to 3 months before you see anything happen.
