I'm filling out the I-134 form (Affidavit of Financial Support) to accompany my I-129F K1 fiance visa application. On question number 8 (persons dependent on me for support), I pay monthly spousal support (that's what it is called in Texas). Must I list this on the form? She is not my "dependent" on my income tax return, although I do claim the what I pay her as a deduction in the applicable category. It is a court required obligation of course. I exceed the minimum financial requirement, even when considering what I pay my ex monthly, so there will be no issue with me not having enough income to support my fiance. If not required, I'd rather not list it. But I don't want to do anything that could result in even a one delay of being with my fiance.

The I-129F is a petition and not a K-1 visa application. Once you have an approved I-129F, the foreign fiance(e) will be able to apply for a K-1 visa at the consulate in their country. The I-134 and supporting financial documentation will be required then. It is not sent with the I-129F petition.

Having said all that, when it comes time for the I-134, you list people that are your dependents there, such as a spouse and children or anyone else you claim on your taxes. Your ex is not your dependent, and so will not be listed there.
