Not a problem, she just needs to show good ties back home, like letter from employer. Some take a short trip to Dublin, or Shannon IRL, then to the US from there, The US customs agency, pre-clears in those airports, and if there is a problem, the problem happens close to home, not on this side of the Atlantic.

I suppose you lose your transatlantic air fare money if they deny you in Dublin..

Last time I travelled visa waiver (after I abandoned AOS a few months before), I had a real tussle with the lady in Manchester who said she wanted to see the cancellation document- (I didnt have it as its at a post office in wisconsin and wont be released unless i go in person) ...I think she was an airline employee - she wanted to refuse me to fly but could not find her supervispor to confirm - so i went to Chicago and they let me in no problema

When I came out of the US a few weeks later, the airline forgot to take the green ticket out my passport so i still have it - but luckily i got an exit receipt..

I suppose the risk is to your air fare but also in the past I had some people say it could actually affect your pending petition/ or pending visa application..

that would be the main worry

I dont know of any VJer who has had their petition affected by trying a visit - does anyone know if that is scare mongering ?

Only if you buy a non-refundable ticket... this would be a good time to spend the little extra dough on that...
