okay, So i don't have much time to explain. but i have been in MIA for a while since my husband moved to the United States.

My familyy doesn't approve of him and they keep saying that they will report him to the Immigration services or to the cops. Just because they don't want me to be with him they keep telling me to leave him or else they will report him. I don't know the laws. Can they accuse him of anything? Can my husband be arrested simply by their false accusations?

Help me!!

Tell them to go ahead. They can accuse him of anything they want but the cops will want some proof including asking you. Of course you have been MIA and may not have time to explain to them but I suggest you do take time.

Why not call the cops and ask them?

I meant I have been MIA from the VISAJOURNEY. since I have been trying to deal with the issues with my family. But now we are stuck. So there is no way that my husband will get into trouble?

I called the cops. and they said a similar thing: that I will be asked, proof will be needed and that if my family makes a false report, my family will be the ones under government blame.

I need to move somewhere far away

Oh I see now.

No your husband wont be in trouble; he hasn't done anything wrong.

Listen to what the cops told you while telling your family to do what they want. Its sad that they want to control you in this way and I feel bad for you. Don't let them determine what you will do.

Making false accusations is a crime... Move away... Don't let him be around your family so that he is vulnerable to their BS or put himself in a he said/she said situation. They cannot just accuse him and expect the police to take action without evidence. Get away from he situation ...
