CONFUSED SCHEDULING VISA APPOINTMENT, HEL PLEASE!!!

Hi Vjers:

In the process of scheduling our appointment for interview we got stocked and confused due to the following:

1. We are requested to enter MRV receipt number for the sum of N79, 200 ($240 per applicant) for K1 visa while we read on website that this is to be paid to the consular cashier at Lagos Consulate.

2. We also read that the First Available Appointment is April 1st 2014 while USCIS Approval Expires March 1st 2014.

- What are we to do concerning the MRV Receipt number?
- Is it possible to have our interview earlier, maybe February?

I'm sorry, not sure about the MRV fee, but I can tell you that if your interview is not till April 1st and your NOA2 says March 1st that the CO will automatically extend the validity date so that you can attend the interview.

Hi, You don't pay your visa fee at the embassy you pay through GTB. After the payment they will give you a receipt and in that transaction receipt there is a number which you will be required to fill in a space while booking an appointment for the interview. I guess that's the MRV number. If the nearest date Is April 1st then you should quickly take it because the more you delay the more other people will take it. After picking a date you have the privilege to be checking for any cancellation on the site and you can move your interview back if you are lucky to get an open date. I think you only have two chances to make that change. I got end of march and I thought it was too far too but I don't want to complicate issues by changing my dates anyhow so I decided to stick to the date I got and before you know it it will be March soon. I hope you get more responses from people here.

Yep Godsrule said it all get to the bank dear pat ASAP. Moving your date I douby it. Lagos is pretty busy with K1's and its a 3 month wait. You are almost there.
