We got an appointment letter via email. Usually they will send an appointment letter at least 1 month before the interview. Wait a few days and if there is no email call the NVC. Don't need an appointment for medical/physical exams at St Luke but they advise to register online.

How long did you get the appointment letter from the time the case became READY at CEAC?

Actually what makes me confused was when the guy at NVC told me to start calling US Embassy as soon as they received my case so I thought I have to make the appointment over the phone or online.

Thanks for the reply.

Did you get an email from NVC similar to this?

----------------

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

--------------------

I got that email on 12/18. On 12/27 I got the interview letter.

I did not check the status online prior to receiving the IL. Today the status says:

--------------------

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions.

----------------

Maybe your case is different. Call NVC again and ask them about the interview date or clarification.

Hi,

I just joined the forum today..

I could use some help.

I am an indian staying in KSA.

my PD is August 2011. I just filed the checklist that the NVC asked for, on the 9th of Jan.

When can I expect my interview?

I have been trying to look for some answers and found this forum helpful.

Also , is it true that Its a MUST that i have to wait for 1 month before the actual interview or do they go according to the PD?

thanks

Are you the petitioner or beneficiary??

Your PD is current. That means there shouldn't be anymore waiting for your in regards to visa.

They will take 20-30 business days to review your checklist documents that you sent.

After which you will get a case complete. They usually give out interview dates once a month ( during the last week of the month) to cases that have been completed before the 20th of the month.

Based on the timeline from other vjers, I'd say you'd probably get your interview date towards Feb end for an interview for the month of April.(assuming that you don't get any other checklist).

What was the checklist about?. Have they reviewed your IV documents? Where's your interview at? You might need PPC from KSA depending on your length of stay.

Read and re read posts 1 and 2. (join/follow this forum as well)
