Everyone not in the Vermont Center got shuffled to California.

Regarding the ticket, leave it to the US govement to make a marriage visa not an immigrant visa. I mean, they are coming here to live rather permanent aren't they? I have heard of others having problems with one way tickets, which also makes no sense. Why in the world do they need a round trip ticket when they are again, coming here to stay? Like someone said earlier, those pirates will do whatever they can for an extra buck I guess.

Now we are ALL just waiting to hear from Just Waiting on how it all went!!

4 am and he's still not here. Long story. Immigration had him more then 3 1/2 hours and he missed his flight. Evidentally there was quite a crowd. He was rebooked to leave at 6 am. He should be here (enshaa Allah) by 10 am. Yesterday was the longest day of my life and not one I even want to talk about. Just pray he makes it in THIS TIME. I obviously am not sleeping. Hopefully he will actually be here today and we can both sleep.

I want to say a very very very heartfelt thank you to the 2 people here who helped hold me together when I fell apart. I would never had made it through this night without them. I'll never forget it.

Hopefully when I post again it will be with good news.

Of course everyone on VJ has been tremendous support. I've said my thanks and will shout it from the rooftops for years to come. I was referring to the 2 who sat with me on the phone while I cried last night.

He's still not here. 6 am flight delayed 4 hours, now enroute to make his final connection. Hopefully I'll see him tonight. I am stressed out, wrung out and exhausted. I hope that people here will not take offense easily to anything I've said because frankly I can't even get my name straight right now.

Oh Jean.....hang in there, hon - he's on his way. I know it's not the way you had hoped, but he'll be here soon.

Just think how tired and frustrated he must be as well. He's the one actually having to put up with the nonsense at the airports. My husband works for expedia.com and flights have been messed up for days since the bad weather out west started. Their phone lines are clogged with people trying to deal with missed connections and delays. I know you probably feel like this is just more bad luck, but really it's just the circumstances of air travel the last couple of weeks.

Soon he will be here. You two can eat and rest. And someday - someday - this will just be part of your story. Your visajourney - something that's a precious part of what makes you a couple.

Jean- everytime I think you are at the airport camped out and waiting for him to emerge from the gate, you log in to VJ. So now he is in the air, but has to make one more connection to your city? arrrghghghghh! I'm beginning to think DOS and Cairo called the airlines and said "let's make this as complicated as we can!"

I am just so glad he cleared the POE and is darting around the US- eventually he has to land in the right city!
