I don't know if anyone experienced this, I'm sure I'm not the only one,so please, any advice will be appreciated.

Today I went to get my biometrics done, had to travel 3 hours, and when I went there the guy who was raking my finger prints said that I failed :-( my fingerprints were not good. He was arrogant and said I should gave taken care of my hands. Well....Im sorry if I can't sit and not do anything with my hands :-( I didn't have cutsor anything, its just that my fingerprints are bad :-( Really?

Has anyone had this happen?

And what next! How is this going to affect my case?

Honestly, I'm very stressed. He was a complete idiot :-(

Happened to me, they sent me a notice to go back and have them done again. Long drive here as well, and the second set seem to have been fine. If it hadn't been, I'd have had to give them a police clearance for the two places I have lived here in the USA.

There have been threads on here before about this, so you aren't the only one. I did try the corn huskers lotion, which I got at Walmart.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thank you. I will buy the cream tomorrow and start using it. I mean, the guy was so rude, scared me to be honest cause he made it sound like a really bad thing. He took ink prints ... but he still said I will be rejected.

Thank u for for the info on the cream

No worries. It's call Corn Huskers Lotion, and it is only a couple of dollars. If you google that name you can see what you're looking for.

The lady that did mine the second time was a bit rude, as though I was trying to make her job difficult. Here's hoping you get a different person the second time. I did. Good luck!

~Moving from K-1 Process to ROC Forum~

~Inquiry about ROC~

(organizer hat off)

Issues at the Biometrics phase happen more often then USCIS may anticipate. Suggest you use VJ Forum Google to find more examples.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Don't let the rude behavior make you anxious. Some people are just not cut out to do this type of jobs. The few times I had issues with biometrics was at the border control (LOL). And the officers usually apologize for their equipment and not make me feel bad. And honestly regardless of how your hands are the equipment should be able to pick up the fingerprints. Not everyone has nice hands - honestly, what do these ASC people think?

They just like to give other people a hard time because they either hate their job or think they can because they have something against immigrants - who knows lol.

If it failed, you'll just be ask to go back and redo - it'll only delay your process but I doubt it will cause a problem.

Good luck!

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

well, I tried to find the corn huskers and seems people here buy it like its the only thing they need, so I will order online. I'm trying not to get frustrated but its just very hard not to. I didn't travel home cause I wanted to have the GC and now...its going to take even longer.

It's worth ordering, sorry you couldn't just go out and buy it locally. Wonder why it's so popular? :)

Sorry you had your trip delayed, and I hope this gets sorted soon. rose.gif
