If you finish from the 1st - 15th you normally have an interview the next month. If you finish from 15th to end of month, it's the month after. But double check the interview thread in the IR1/CR1 progress forum. There may have been some changes, but that's how it was most of the summer.

hey NLR,

I was wondering how to re-schedule? I have signed up on the CSC site for Loomis. I was given an Interview date by the NVC for Feb 14. I have a trip planned out of the country at the end of Feb and being South Asian ethnicity. I worry I maybe in for an AP. Just to be on the safe side, I wanted to reschedule for the end of March or April. When I log onto my CSC account, it says no interview date is scheduled (I read somewhere on the same site that this is normal if the date is scheduled by NVC?) and when I tried to see if I can schedule one, it says the next available date is 126 days from now! Thats a bit too long for me. Am I going about this in the right away? Should I just keep checking again to see if something opens up ? I hope there isnt something Im missing here...

You can't reschedule yourself. The best you can do it use the online form to contact the Montreal consulate and ask them to reschedule. Do it asap as it can take them a week or two to respond.

But you have to take what they give you. :(

Thanks NLR. You'd think after this pain staking journey is near its end, they would offer a a few dates to choose from rather than just one. K1's have it better. Maybe they just dont get that many CR1s to care.

It's just Montreal. They are infuriating to deal with because you cannot call or email them. You have to do that online form. Had you changed the date before the file left the NVC you might have had an easier time rebooking, but then again you might not have either. I don't know if anyone has tried booking a different date when they've gotten the interview date.
