B2 Visa, ESTA Denied. Help please! :(

oh that makes me feel a bit better!

As far as ties go, will it help if I get a letter from my epilepsy specialist nurse to say that I'm under an ongoing care plan with her or will I then have to provide a load of medical information and delay everything?

So far I have my lease - I tend to pay my rent 3 months in advance so will take evidence of this, and I've lived here for just under 4 years so I'm settled - university schedules to show that my course ends in 2016, student finance documentation and evidence that I'm there under an academic scholarship, proof that I undertook a one-year Access to Higher Education course to get to university which I hope will prove my dedication to the course also, evidence of family here, bank statements to show that I can finance myself for the trip.

Are there any other handy tips re showing ties to the UK? I'm worried they won't think it's enough. I'm not a homeowner or anything.

I received a B2 tourist visa in June 2013 to visit my girlfriend in America. I got a 10 year multiple entry visa which i am very grateful for as they can give you different lengths and a capped number of visits. The process isnt too bad jus do our research and provide everything they ask for. I remember reading that if your record shows no live trace you need to provide a subject to access form. I can always fish out the link if you need me to. Feel free to ask me any questions. I would personally bet you ll have no issues as my conviction was when i was 18 and fiend at 19 and involved 16 counts of damage to property. If I was approved I cant see how you wouldnt be given you meet the petty offender criteria.

Apologies in advanced I accidently reported your post for no reason other than i misclicked.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Mine was a real success story.

I managed by complete fluke to get in touch with somebody senior at CBP and explained my situation to him. I emailed my ACRO, SAR and everything to him and within an hour, the ESTA denial had been reversed and approved. I flew the very next day and am just back home from Texas. Very happy! Although I did end up paying for a now useless embassy appointment :(

You applied for a B2 and no showed?

OK

Do bear in mind there are only 2 outcomes to a visa application.

Genuinely interested here.

Do you mean that to apply for a B2 and then not show up for the interview would result in a visa denial and not just cancelling out the application?

So if you make the application but no-show then you have to say you've been denied a visa on the ESTA application?

I had never thought of it from that point of view, bit harsh if you missed the appointment through no fault of your own.

If you can not make it you can reschedule, that has been mentioned here a few times.

I seem to recollect that it only becomes an application once you have filled the forms in and paid the fee.
