Hi,

I have some q's about the i-134. If there is already a thread on this that I just didn't find please let me know.

My fiancé is a grad student (with no income) so his mum is going to be our joint sponsor..

Does my fiancé still need to fill in any forms or proof of federal income tax returns? (He did not have to file taxes!)

Is that just for the joint sponsor?

Thanks

That is something I was planning to add to our pinned thread. For London, they will accept the Mom's I-134 and her proof of income as the sponsor without a form from your fiancé. Not true for later when you do the I-864 for adjustment of status.

Her proof of income is just last tax return (2013) (as she is self employed)

Is this sufficient?

Yes. But that was fast if she already filed 2013 taxes in 9 days. Impressed, but don't think it's possible. Make sure the total income, line 22 of her 1040 meets the requirement. Sometime self-employed deduct a lot of business expenses to reduce their taxable income.

I mean her taxes from April 2013?

That looks like an error on their end. It'll be fixed soon enough. Patience.
