or does it have to be a new I-864 form, with original signatures?

I think the RFE is only for my W2s, because everything else was there. It's certainly not written very clearly, is it?! I'm just going to resubmit it all.

I concur! A copy of the I-864 form should be sufficient. Just to avoid any confusion, you might consider submitting the complete I-864 form and back-up again (along with your W2s, of course), if the USCIS did not specify what the problem was with the original submission of the I-864. You are so right on the money about the instructions not very cleary written, which leads us all to presume what is required. However, "that is par for the course" and has been the norm from the onset of the immigration process. I guess that we can not expect them to change... so the silent mysteries of this process continue until the dreaded RFEs arrive... ;)

Cheers and good luck...

Did you include an employment letter? I got an I-864 RFE because of that, but I sent in everything again anyways, except the I-864 forms because they didn't ask for it. You should've received a pink letter that lists what you're required to send back.
