I drop out of status on Jan. 14. because I cannot afford the tuition any more, how man days after can I stay? Is it still 60?

Or is this true?

F, J and M visa holders who drop out of their programs may have 60, 30 and 30 days respectively to leave the U.S. (Note: An F-1 student who fails to maintain a full course of study without the approval of the Designated School Official (DSO) or otherwise fails to maintain status is not eligible for an additional period for departure and must leave immediately.) An alternative is to apply for re-instatement, instructions and conditions for doing this may be found on the I-539 application. Your international student advisor can also explain your options and we advise you to talk to them about your situation. For more information regarding the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System see SEVIS .

I suspect you did not have the approval of your DSO so you must leave immediatly

good luck

Expect scrutiny. You did not meet the terms of your non-immigrant visa. What ties can you produce to show why you MUST return after your stay?

good luck

If this happens, when can I come back? Even to just visit? Would I be able to fly to other states a month after or so? Just for visits not an actual stay...

Depends on a lot of factors -- the first being whether you depart immediately as you are required to do. The second will be whether the officer at the Port of Entry believes you just plan to visit and then return home. Part of that process would be you showing all of the reasons you have to leave the US. You also will need to show that you don't intend to violate the terms of your visa status (i.e., that you won't do anything that is not legal to do while in a visitor's status like work or study) -- that's an uphill battle for you, since you may have already done so in your student status. So, it's important to leave and spend time out of status in the U.S.
