I just wanted to ask if it's a good idea to call USCIS on january 12th 2014 because then we will have reached the 5 month mark for our NOA2!

Should we talk to a tier2 officer then? I don't want to get answers that sounds like they read them from the PC so maybe a tier 2 officer can help us more?

To give you a peace of mind, I think you should started calling them and inquiring your case. There are many Vjers cases here that their files had been lost somewhere. Let us know the progress and good luck!

Not sure why you are making snide remarks to someone that replied to your post. Patience and waiting is the basic, correct answer. If you want to call and ask to put in a service request, then you can. That would be up to you. They will most likely tell you that if you have not heard anything in 60 more days, then to contact them again. That has been a typical response to service requests about being past the normal processing times.

I'm not sure if started involving your congressman would be a good idea or right thing to do now. But, you can try and see if it works..

By the way what I really would like to tell is that I think it is kind a sad thing that you it seems like can only make posts here when you already wait 13 months or longer for your NOA2 that people are not bothering you with being patient.... I think that some people go along a wrong road here... :-( everyone of us wants to be asap with their loved ones and there is no reason especially for the faster approved ones to be that rude to people who still wait!!

We ALL know that it is important to be patient!!! No more complaining about that!!!

When did you apply And were you transferred? What country is fiance from? I applied in July and transferred to tsc in August. I have not received noa2 yet either. But I heard they are working on July and August k1 petitions now. Don't know how true this is. But it is discouraging to hear that it could take 8 months:(. Wow I never thought this long.

If you're past 5 months, I suggest you start contacting everyone you can to help you. Get a service request opened. (You can probably do it online as soon as you're actually past 5 months.) Senators, Congresspeople, Ombudsman. If you're past your processing time, then it's theoretically possible to engage all of these people, and I suggest that you do so. Don't wait until you've been waiting 8 months. People are always going to tell you that you should just be patient and accept whatever the USCIS tells you. I waited 9 1/2 months for my IR1 petition approval, and most likely won't see my husband again until it's been over a year.

You might have to wait, but you don't have to be quiet and happy about it. If they're not meeting their 5 month goal in a large number of cases, they will not be held accountable unless people complain about it and bring it to the attention of the Ombudsman. Average processing times are easy to manipulate.

I hope you get an answer soon, either way. Being separated from the one you love for so long is a truly awful experience.
