I know that for I-864 Affidavits of Support, the usual and required guidelines are for 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. What I'm not yet clear on, however, is if that requirement and that information being asked is for *before-tax* earnings, or for *after-tax* earnings?

Affidavits of support ask for gross income, before taxes. The I-134 is used for K-1 visas though.

Both affidavits of support ask for your gross income. The I-134 is used when applying for the K-1 visa. The I-864 is used later when applying for adjustment of status.

You are only approaching the visa application phase at USEM, the I-134 is the form used at the embassy with the K-1.

As for income, it is GROSS income before taxes.

Correct if I'm wrong but on the I-134 and the I-864, both forms are asking for the GROSS income BEFORE taxes?
