I sent off Packet 3 about 2 1/2 weeks ago, I have my medical exam next week, and we await packet 4!

Getting to this stage with my K3 we are thinking a bit further ahead. As far as we are aware, I can apply for a temporary EAD when I first enter the US. We heard I can get one of these from a PEO when I enter first the states, is this true? are there only certain airports where this is avalible?

I am also thinking about my future SSN, do I need to apply for one of these first, and at which stage should I apply for one?

The temp EAD that is available from JFK POE is only available to K1 visa holders not K3.... you will need to apply for a EAD once you are here... you can also then get a SSN...

Not for a K-3 as you are not immediately work authorized like a K-1 is

You will apply for SSN after you submited and received you EAD.
