I received my file number from NVC today, the case was forwarded to the Embassy last week. I am trying to find out how to track it through DHL. The woman I spoke to told me they don't have any info for tracking. I've seen people here talk about tracking their cases. Any info would be of a help.

Second time today this has been asked... Search is your friend....

GO to DHL Worldwide Express website http://www.dhl.com

Select USA

A new page will open

At the top highlight tracking and click on TRACK BY REFERENCE

In the Reference field type CORRESPONDENCE

For the Shipment date you should select a day before and after the date NVC said they sent your file.

Customer number leave blank

Origin Postal code should be 03801

Then Click Track

YMMV

i used the dhl website and tracked my case and i realized that most shipments reach jamaiva in one day but it takes much longer to get to trinidad!does this make sense?

A lot of things do not make sense when you are going through this process. Frustrating at best..

Once I knew it had been sent I'd e-mail/call the consulate. Supposedly my case took 2 weeks to get to Brasil but I used the DHL website and it seemed no packages were sent to Brasil from that zip code until almost a week after they told me it was mailed.

The consulate then verified when my packet 3 was sent to my fiance.

Good luck!
