Moving Question

So by the time my visa is approved, my husband will be in a training program for 10-months and will be unable to help me move my stuff. Will there be any issue with having my mother-in-law fly here and help me move all my stuff across the border? I will be staying with my in-laws while my husband finishes his training program as he will be in barracks, and then we will both move together to his new duty station once his has completed the program. I have enough stuff to warrant a small U-haul and am not terribly comfortable with the idea of driving all the way to Florida alone. I would prefer to move my stuff myself, but if having her with me at the border is prone to causing an issue, I will just pay for it to be moved professionally and I just do my POE at Pearson customs instead.

I cannot see how it would be an issue.

The only issues sometimes people have is having one way tickets but I'm sure if she's all "i'm helping my daughter in law move" the CBSA won't bat an eyelash. Look up the different POEs to see which is easiest to go through and have a good list of what you're taking. We did my 2 bedroom apt in a 14' uhaul with oodles of room but I didn't have any living room furniture.

I just have my bedroom furniture/mattress (going to be used for a spare bedroom once we PCS after his training is done, but will be used while I stay with the in-laws), my kitchen equipment and a few boxes of books and clothes. We'll either do Buffalo or Windsor as POE. I'm going to be doing an overall list and then posting taping a content list to each box. I like lists :)
