Paul and I caught Spamalot this weekend at Detroit's Fischer Theatre. It was the Broadway based travelling company and it was FANTASTIC. GO GO GO see this show if it comes to your area. Especially for my fellow UKers/UK spouses - Paul and I were laughing the loudest at a few places when the words prat, watery bint, etc were thrown around. For everyone else don't worry - it's all funny and you don't have to know british slang/speak to appreciate it. Take some of your Christmas money and get yourself a ticket if it's in your area!

Roll on 2007 - bring on the champers!

My sister saw this in NY and said it was hilarious.

I've never seen a Broadway show. It's on my list of things I want to do before I die. I think it would be great fun!

same here.... that is one of my dreams to see a Broadway show...

I used to go to small productions at the local theater in my town back in Canada.... I loved it... :)

I have seen "Annie" and "the Music Man" and "Anne of Green Gables".... done by kids... it was really good though

I have also seen "Romeo & Juliet", "The Tempest" and "Alice in Wonderland", done by the local college's theater group...

I hope I get to go see an actual Broadway play one day....

Oh I missed it - that number was so big, I couldn't take it all again. Suppose I'll have to catch it again. I would have LOVED seeing Tim Curry. The woman who did the Lady of the Lake was an amazing soprano and about 6'2 and curved in all the right places. She was outstanding as Paul said, "I didn't know a human could make sounds like that." She was a GODDESS with that voice.

I didn't know they took it on the road! I think that show could travel very well as there's very little 'hoo ha' but the three of them

I think it's even on DVD now although the atmosphere would be missed......

AH! No but that would have been hilarous. They were just selling overpriced bags of candy. They did have the cans of Spamalot span for sale but I passed. Spam, no matter what the can says, is not worth $10.

On a side note for a GOOD and not TOO expensive bit o' Monty Python. Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale is nice, and the bottle is a riot. That I've seen loads of places.
