Hi,

My fiancée is on an F-1 student visa (recently graduated and on OPT for another half year or so) and I am a US citizen. We met in college and have been living together for several years. We got engaged some months ago, and we are now planning to get married in the US and petition for the adjustment of status.

My concern is that we traveled overseas to visit her family - after the engagement, but before we looked into where or when we would get married. She is, of course, utilizing the OPT as intended; it was never her intention to use it merely as a means of getting into the US for immigration (as evidenced by her attending and graduating university and now using the OPT for training). Is there any reason to be worried that USCIS will view it as visa fraud?

Thanks!
