He did nothing. His people did a lot. It's going to come down to whether he had knowledge or not. There's a lot of stuff redacted in the document which will be revealed later. I think he'll be fine as far as staying Governor (he won't have to resign) but this stuff will move numbers in a primary or general.

Seriously? This is huge. Did you read through the doc link in the second post?

I did. I didn't see any emails from Chris Christie. Regardless, I don't see what the big deal is. Like I said, if that's all they can dig up on the guy, they're really grasping.

You mean like when ATF agents let firearms get smuggled into Mexico that are later used in massacres and then the AG acts like nothing happened. Or... I could keep going and going, but you know what I mean.

no, I meant like Benghazi. Because, that will 'make a difference' in the primary & general elections. I can't wait to watch the dems cannibalize each other during the primary debates. then the next president will have his go at her in the general...it going to be fun to watch.

You do not see this as an abuse of power? Personally, I think people using the power they have for their own personal gain (whatever that gain might be) is far more serious from the voter perspective than any sexual scandal, unless of course the sexual scandal involves the abuse of power and position.

Abuse of power by who? Some aide?

Abuse of power by who? Some aide?

An aide who just talks ####### I couldn't care less about, one that is able to abuse the political system for their personal gain, absolutely, the person who has oversight of this is equally culpable no matter who's bright idea it was and how they brought it about.

If emergency vehicles were impeded unnecessarily it's possible that that was an 'unintended' consequence. Either way, it was a stupid thing to do and whoever is responsible should be held to account, if it was deliberate it's an abuse of power.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

The Wall Street Journal said it was a test of Christie's credibility.

"America doesn't need - after a year of revelations that the IRS was turned against President Obama's opponents - another chief executive willing to condone government attacks on his political adversaries," the Journal wrote.

"And Republicans don't need a presidential nominee who fulfills the liberal stereotype that he's a political bully," it said.

In an editorial, New York's Daily News pronounced Christie's presidential ambitions as "all but kaput."

"He will be lambasted and lampooned as a man of low character and horrible judgment," the newspaper wrote. "Take his denials of knowledge with skepticism, and the man is a monster."

Taking a poke at Christie's heft and aspirations, the Daily News front page headline read: "Fat chance now, Chris."
