I haven't had my interview yet, but I only submitted tax return transcripts for the last 3 tax years (we file jointly as a married couple) and a copy of our marriage certificate.

In the interview appointment letter, they said I should bring proof of joint residence or some such thing, so I'll probably print some electronic bank statements with our name and address on it, and hopefully that'll cover it.

In the end, I think that "how much is enough" is assessed on a case-by-case basis, so I don't believe there is a single answer for that.

Great question to ask now. Since you're still early in your process, here's my advice. Start saving/collecting files and organizing them. My understanding is that Financial ties are the strongest evidence, even more than having a child together. Also, they want you to show multiple years going back, so don't think you'll just get everything together at the end...start saving them now.

1. Apartment Leases

2. Tax Transcripts from every year you're together (can just call IRS to order them for free)

2. Joint Bank account statements (2 from each year) - best if they're actively used each month

3. Joint Utility Bills (2 from each year) showing addresses

4. Joint Credit card statements (2 from each year)

5. Joint Health Insurance

6. Life Insurance with each other named as the beneficiary

7. Savings/Retirement accounts with each other named as beneficiary

8. Personal Wills, Power of Attorney documents

Non-Financial

1. Affidavit letters (you'll need to submit for N-400) from friends/family, but no reason to do this now. Wait until you apply.

2. Personal mail addressed to both of you at your address

3. Photos from vacations (and/or boarding passes)

4. Birth Certificates from kids you have together

Good luck!

Are you removing conditions or U.S. citizenship? The topic is in citizenship... If it is for citizenship, then usually the tax transcripts, a bill or insurance showing joint address or a lease or mortgage or banks statement will usually do...

I751 is for removal of conditions, the N 400 is fot citizenship, hence the confusion... Just for reference....

I was going to give her more the officer said that she seen enough and she doesn't need anymore papers. Good luck.

I just sent 2 months before the date I applied. For example I applied in September I sent July and August. That's all. But when I had my interview I took with me new bills after I applied. meaning September, October, November and December. And the officer didn't see all of them.
