I have a question: will they cancel my b1/b2 visa once I get the k1? I'm expecting to be contacted by the embassy in the next few weeks, but I need to travel to the USA for work once more before I move. I'm also wondering if I could schedule the interview in a couple months.

Medical was completed a few days ago. I have my interview next week!

The medical was pretty easy... they asked a few questions very quickly. Some they asked again. They check your ears, nose, mouth, height, weight. You do have to undress a bit. But all in all, I was in and out within 10 minutes?

No, Canada.

It takes about 24 hours to turnaround here. We did the medical in the morning and was able to pick up the results next day.

In Canada, when they send you packet 4, you're able to schedule your interview online. My first interview was in June and then I checked back a few days later and was able to get a close one. I guess there was a cancellation? Once I confirmed my interview and got the email from the embassy, I sent a copy to the clinic that does the interview and they were able to schedule me. It was pretty easy... You tell them when your interview is and they work with you to get it done as close as possible.

Got the visa in hand.

Embassy returned my original I-129F packet (including pics) with it.

Filed in Jan, visa in April and finally, moving in June.

Your input on this forum helped us greatly! Thank you all.

Good luck!
