Filing out DS-160 for fiancé and than having him log in and sign the DS-160 and have him print it out for the confirmation page. Is that fine?

For the Romania embassy the confirmation page just needs to be emailed to the embassy. Find it a lot easier if I do it for him

My fiance just received a notice from NVC via snail mail that our petition was received and it is on its way to the Vancouver consulate. I checked out the case number on the ceac website and it says "READY" .

Immigrant Visa Case Number: VAC Case Creation Date: 27-Feb-2014 Status Updated Date: 13-Mar-2014

And I was actually going to call today to see if we had a case number (I'm pretty lazyyyyyy) .... thankfully this will save me some time tonight hah!

FINALLY! 19 days later, "IN TRANSIT"!

I feel like I just passed a kidney stone or something. What an ordeal!

I know it doesnt help but you´re like 200 steps quicker than most of us even though NVC took longer :)

hope everything´s there in time for your interview!!! GOOD LUCK

FYI:

Received an official notice from NVC stating that a case # has been assigned and was sent to consular office for further processing.

Now, given that I already had my case # 7-9 days before the notice by calling NVC 2 days after receiving NOA2 it doesn't hurt to have it in writing for record keeping purposes.

Moving forward, we've been getting our papers ready for the interview in Apr. VJ provides a list to recommended items to prepare for the interview but per embassy rep (in my case), I was instructed to not "over-do" with docs, instead, only to bring required docs posted on their website. (Whatever, to prevent any potential mishaps, I'll have a mobile office depot ready standing by at her interview smile.png )

so this thing called "packet 3" and/or 4...I have no clue cry.gif I was told that I received everything I needed from them for the interview.

Thanks to the great information on how to track your case after it leaves the NVC, I can confirm that my case is currently "Out for delivery" in Manila as we speak. So, that's good to go.

I sent the I-134 and accompanying info back on the 9th (aka 11 days ago), and she hasn't received it yet. This case is kinda like the plot for the old Keanu Reeves movie Speed, where you think the villain is dead, only to have him resurface. OVER and OVER. So, we have today, and Monday to get it, or I'll have to scan ALL the stuff, and e-mail it to her so that she can PRINT it. And, I assume we'll get a 221G since the I-134 won't have a "wet signature". But it beats missing the interview because of the stuff not being there.

Fingers crossed!
